Stored script execution via unescaped Facebook App ID
Published Dec 2, 2022 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Prasunsen Chained Quiz 1.3.2.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via a saved Facebook App ID. The Social Sharing settings page stores the facebook_appid value after text-field sanitization and renders it into an HTML attribute without attribute escaping. Administrator access is required to save the payload; it executes when a user interacts with the affected input and can perform actions with that user's WordPress privileges.
