LDAP credential disclosure via pagination URLs
Published Nov 15, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Credential exposure in affected Liferay Portal and DXP releases allows attackers to read LDAP credentials from pagination URLs. The Test LDAP Users page appends the LDAP security credential to GET query parameters when pagination rebuilds the request URL instead of placing the data in a POST body. Exposure requires use of this pagination feature; interception of unencrypted traffic or access to request logs reveals the configured LDAP credential.
