Authenticated form-entry disclosure via user-controlled record identifier
Published Nov 15, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
IDOR in Liferay Portal 7.3.2 through 7.4.3.4 and Liferay DXP 7.3 before update 4 and 7.4 GA allows remote authenticated users to read form entries. The Dynamic Data Mapping module uses the user-controlled formInstanceRecordId to retrieve a form record without verifying access to that record. An authenticated account and a valid or discoverable record identifier are required; the documented consequence is unauthorized read access only.
