Stored XSS via catalog reference code
Published Nov 15, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Stored XSS in Liferay Portal 7.3.5 through 7.4.2 and DXP 7.3 before update 8 allows remote attackers to inject script via Commerce. The Commerce catalog edit page stores the CommerceCatalogsPortlet externalReferenceCode parameter and later renders it without neutralizing active HTML or script. Catalog-edit privileges are required to save a payload, and another user's page view executes it in that viewer's browser context.
