Authenticated code execution via unrestricted gallery upload
Published Oct 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Wedding Planner 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through the Gallery editor. The photos_edit.php handler accepts a file named shell.php at the Gallery image-upload field and stores it under admin/upload/gallery without blocking executable PHP content. Exploitation requires a valid background-management session and access to the saved upload URL, after which attacker-supplied PHP runs on the web server.
