CVE-2022-41983Network attack vector

Cleartext disclosure during QAT-accelerated AES-GCM/CCM processing

Published Oct 19, 2022 · Updated May 8, 2025

Cleartext transmission in affected F5 BIG-IP releases allows remote attackers to read data sent without encryption over network connections. Under undisclosed conditions, the TMM traffic path using Intel QAT for AES-GCM/CCM emits plaintext despite an applied SSL Profile. Exposure requires specific hardware and affects all 13.1.x versions, 14.1.x before 14.1.5.1, 15.1.x before 15.1.7, and 16.1.x before 16.1.3.1.
