CVE-2022-41971Network attack vector

Video disclosure via stale participant sessions

Published Dec 1, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Information disclosure in affected Nextcloud Talk Android releases allows remote authenticated users to continue viewing call video. The participant-removal path does not send all participant sessions to the High Performance Backend, leaving removed sessions subscribed to media. Exploitation requires a guest to join an active call in a public conversation and then be removed; the documented impact is continued video disclosure only.
