Heap corruption via Sign-In profile use-after-free
Published Nov 29, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in Google Chrome Sign-In before 108.0.5359.71 allows remote attackers to corrupt heap memory through profile destruction. During profile destruction, Sign-In releases an object while later UI-driven logic retains and dereferences the stale heap reference. Exploitation requires remote attackers to convince a user to perform the specific Sign-In UI interaction, constraining exposure to an active browser session.
