CVE-2022-41905

Browser script execution via unescaped directory metadata

Published Nov 11, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Cross-site scripting in Martin Wendt WsgiDAV 3.0.0a1 through 4.0.1 allows attackers to execute script in a user's browser. The directory browser renders untrusted realm or user-name values through a Jinja2 environment that lacks automatic HTML escaping. Directory browsing must be enabled, untrusted data must reach the interface, and a user must view the page; crafted file or folder names alone do not trigger it.
