Insufficient policy enforcement in Google Chrome before 108.0.5359.71 allows attackers to bypass DevTools navigation restrictions. A crafted extension reaches DevTools navigation handling without the enforcement needed to keep restricted destinations blocked; Google has not disclosed the affected code locus or exact omitted check. Exploitation requires a user to install the malicious extension, after which it can navigate beyond the intended restrictions.
