CVE-2022-41880Public exploit

Process crash via unchecked candidate-sampler class indices

Published Nov 18, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025

Out-of-bounds read in Google TensorFlow before 2.8.4, 2.9.0 through 2.9.2, and 2.10.0 allows attackers to crash a process. BaseCandidateSamplerOp passes true_classes entries to sampler logic without first verifying that each index is nonnegative and below range_max, permitting access beyond heap-backed sampler data. The gate is a consuming model or service that passes attacker-controlled true_classes to a candidate-sampler operation; published assessments also identify memory disclosure.
