CVE-2022-41879Network attack vector

Prototype pollution via unvalidated Cloud Code webhook responses

Published Nov 10, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Prototype pollution in Parse Server before 4.10.20 and 5.0.0 through 5.3.2 allows remote attackers to bypass a keyword denylist. A compromised Cloud Code Webhook target returns object keys that the webhook response path accepts without applying requestKeywordDenylist validation. Control of a configured webhook target is required, and the bypass permits denied prototype-related keys to be stored in the application database.
