Resource exhaustion in Bento4 1.6.0-639 allows local users to crash media-processing applications via a crafted MP4 file. While mp4tag parses an attacker-controlled MP4 size, AP4_DataBuffer::SetDataSize passes the declared size to ReallocateBuffer, which invokes new[] without an allocation limit. Exploitation requires a user or automated local workflow to process the file; the resulting multi-gigabyte allocation exhausts memory and aborts the affected process.
