CVE-2022-41797Network attack vector

Phishing redirects via unrestricted deep-link requests

Published Oct 24, 2022 · Updated May 7, 2025

Improper authorization in Lemon8 for Android and iOS before 3.3.5 allows remote attackers to open arbitrary websites through the app. The Custom URL Scheme/DeepLink handler accepts requests from any application without restricting the caller, then directs Lemon8 to the supplied site. Exploitation requires user interaction, and the resulting navigation can present a phishing page through the trusted application.
