Arbitrary file read via CLI path traversal
Published Oct 19, 2022 · Updated May 8, 2025
Directory traversal in the F5OS CLI in F5OS-A before 1.1.0 and F5OS-C before 1.4.0 allows local users to read arbitrary files. F5 has not disclosed the affected CLI command or how it fails to restrict a supplied pathname to its intended directory. Exploitation requires low-privileged local CLI access and exposes file contents without reported modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
