Local information disclosure through incorrect resource permissions

Published May 10, 2023 · Updated Jan 24, 2025

Incorrect resource permissions in Intel QuickAssist Technology drivers for Windows before 1.9.0 allow local users to disclose information. Intel identifies a security-critical resource with incorrect permissions but does not name the resource or describe the unauthorized read path. An authenticated low-privileged local user can reach the flaw without user interaction, and the reported consequence is information disclosure only.
