Authenticated code execution via PING debugger injection

Published Sep 5, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Code injection in Nokia AMS 9.7.05 allows remote authenticated users to execute code on the server through the PING test. The PING function dynamically evaluates an ipAddress value altered through a debugger after the frontend's sanitization is bypassed. Valid AMS access is required, and resulting commands run with the privileges of the operating-system account that executes the AMS service.
