Privilege escalation via direct privileged URL access
Published Oct 10, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Authorization bypass in Trend Micro Apex One 2019 on-premises and SaaS allows remote authenticated users to alter protected configuration. The web console accepts direct navigation to a privileged URL without enforcing authorization, granting write access to server configuration. A valid web-console login is required; exploitation escalates privileges and permits reconfiguration of the server and associated endpoint agents.
