Out-of-bounds access in Trend Micro Apex One 2019 (on-prem) and SaaS allows local users to execute code as SYSTEM via a crafted message. The Apex One NT Listener service fails to validate user-supplied message data before accessing an allocated buffer, causing an access past its end. Exploitation requires existing low-privileged code execution on an affected Windows endpoint and can elevate that code to SYSTEM.
