Plaintext credential storage in IBM Maximo Mobile for EAM 8.7 and 8.8 allows local users to read stored user credentials. IBM has not published the affected file, database, or credential-storage routine beyond confirming that authentication data remains in clear text. Access to the affected device and its local application data is required; the reported consequence is credential disclosure without data modification or service interruption.
