CVE-2022-41672Network attack vector

Continued account access via missing activity check

Published Oct 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Insufficient session expiration in Apache Airflow before 2.4.1 allows remote authenticated users to retain UI and API access. The webserver's create_app path omits a per-request active-status check, so Flask-Login continues accepting the session cookie after the account is deactivated. An authenticated session established before deactivation remains sufficient to read or modify resources allowed by the account's existing roles.
