Database disclosure via unescaped addCountS query concatenation
Published Dec 26, 2022 · Updated Apr 11, 2025
SQL injection in Contest Gallery and Contest Gallery Pro before 19.1.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive database data. In 4_activate.php, the addCountS POST parameter is concatenated into an SQL query without escaping, allowing crafted array keys to alter the statement. An authenticated WordPress account with at least the Author role can reach the admin-AJAX action and use time-based queries to disclose database contents.
