CVE-2022-41642Network attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via unescaped archive paths

Published Dec 5, 2022 · Updated Apr 24, 2025

OS command injection in Nadesiko3 (PC Version) 3.3.61 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via archive paths. The compression and decompression routines in src/plugin_node.mjs and src/plugin_node.mts interpolate untrusted source, destination, and tool paths into shell commands passed to exec or execSync without shell-safe quoting. No authentication or user interaction is required, and injected commands run with the privileges of the Nadesiko3 process.
