Information disclosure via cleartext command traffic
Published Oct 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Cleartext transmission in Haas Control 100.20.000.1110 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read Ethernet Q Commands traffic. The Ethernet Q Commands TCP service sends command and response data without transport encryption, exposing machine information in transit. Exploitation requires a position capable of observing traffic between the controller and an MDC client; no service interruption is established.
