Database disclosure via unescaped activation parameters
Published Dec 26, 2022 · Updated Apr 14, 2025
SQL injection in Contest Gallery and Contest Gallery Pro before 19.1.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to read database data. The 2_deactivate.php and 4_activate.php handlers concatenate unescaped cg_deactivate and cg_activate POST values into SQL queries, allowing injected clauses to run. An author-level WordPress account can reach the AJAX workflow; the documented consequence is disclosure of sensitive database information.
