Fingerprint service disruption via crafted file content

Memory-safety flaws in Huawei HarmonyOS 2.0 and EMUI 11.0.1 and 12.0.0 allow local users to disrupt the fingerprint service. The fingerprint trusted application processes attacker-controlled file content in ways that trigger a heap overflow, an out-of-bounds read, or a null pointer dereference; Huawei has not disclosed the affected function or precise missing validation. Root permission is required, and successful exploitation makes the fingerprint service operate abnormally rather than granting a reported confidentiality gain or code execution.
