Database disclosure via unescaped gallery identifier
Published Dec 26, 2022 · Updated Apr 14, 2025
SQL injection in Contest Gallery and Contest Gallery Pro before 19.1.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to read database data. The 0_change-gallery.php handler concatenates the unescaped cg_id POST value into an SQL query, allowing injected SQL syntax to alter the statement. Remote authenticated users need a WordPress account with at least the Author role; successful exploitation exposes sensitive information stored in the site database.
