Unauthenticated service interruption
Published Oct 14, 2022 · Updated May 14, 2025
Configuration defects in the security module of HarmonyOS 2.0 and EMUI 11.0.1 and 12.0.0 allow remote attackers to interrupt service. Huawei has not published the defective setting, the affected security-module function, or the operation it performs on attacker-controlled input. Network access requires no privileges or user interaction, but the disclosed consequence is limited to availability and does not distinguish a hang, crash, reboot, or shutdown.
