Incorrect authorization in Gradle Enterprise 2020.4 through 2022.3.1 allows remote attackers to stop backups and email arbitrary text to administrators. The unauthenticated /backup path exposes an internal endpoint used by the embedded-database backup process, accepting requests that suppress backups and set administrator-email text. Exploitation requires an embedded database with backups enabled; recipients are limited to configured installation administrators, and user data is not exposed.
