Authenticated memory corruption via parental-rule stack overflow
Published Oct 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack overflow in TOTOLINK NR1800X 9.1.0u.6279_B20210910 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via parental-rule inputs. The setParentalRules function accepts week, sTime, and eTime values that overrun its stack buffer, but the exact unsafe copy operation is undisclosed. Authenticated access to the web management interface is required; the record does not distinguish a service crash from code execution.
