Server-side request forgery via unchecked news feed URL
Published Oct 13, 2022 · Updated May 15, 2025
Server-side request forgery in ClipperCMS 1.3.3 allows remote authenticated users to direct server requests through rss_url_news. The /manager/index.php?a=30 settings handler passes rss_url_news to server-side feed retrieval without restricting the selected destination. A valid manager session is required by the published proof of concept, and exploitation reaches network services accessible from the CMS host.
