Disputed code disclosure via resource-key selection
Published Oct 18, 2022 · Updated May 15, 2025
Improper authorization in DevExpress ASP.NET Web Forms 19.2.3 allows remote attackers to retrieve code through the DXR.axd resource handler. ASPxHttpHandlerModule uses the user-controlled r parameter to select embedded resources, while the report states that referenced objects are not verified. No authentication is required, but DevExpress states that only intentionally public client-side code is returned and disputes that custom application code or data is exposed.
