Published Oct 17, 2022 · Updated May 14, 2025
Improper authorization in 74cmsSE 3.12.0 allows remote authenticated users with low-level privileges to take over the Super Administrator account. The Administrator List edit action accepts changes to the Super Administrator role and password without enforcing configured role permissions. Any authenticated low-rights account that can reach the background system can replace the highest-privilege account's credentials and permissions.
