Authenticated SSRF via unsanitized subnet URL
Published Oct 3, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SSRF in phpIPAM 1.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to make server-side HTTP requests via a crafted subnet value. The resolve_ripe_arin path validates only the first dot-delimited segment, then ripe_arin_fetch appends the entire unsanitized value to a RIPE URL passed to cURL. An authenticated phpIPAM session is required, and the published proof shows unintended requests to alternate RIPE service paths but not arbitrary hosts.
