Database-name disclosure via category identifier SQL injection
Published Sep 30, 2022 · Updated May 20, 2025
SQL injection in Billing System Project 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute altered queries through the category id parameter. The editcategory.php endpoint fails to neutralize the id value, letting a UNION SELECT payload replace the intended query result with the active database name. A super-administrator session is required, and the published proof of concept demonstrates database-name disclosure rather than broader compromise.
