Database credential disclosure via hard-coded Blowfish key
Published Apr 28, 2023 · Updated Jan 31, 2025
Hard-coded credentials in Sage 300 Web Screens through 2022 allow remote attackers to obtain PORTAL SQL database credentials. The feature encrypts and decrypts the PORTAL connection string in dbconfig.xml with the same embedded 40-byte Blowfish PASS_KEY. Exposure requires the optional Web Screens feature and grants access to the SQL database; no data modification or service interruption is reported.
