Authenticated command execution via unchecked IPsec networks
Published Nov 15, 2022 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
OS command injection in Tenda W15Ev2 firmware 15.11.0.10(1576) allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. setIpSecTunnelSettings stores unchecked IPsecLocalNet and IPsecRemoteNet values, and netctrl's vpn_ipsec_ini interpolates them into a shell command. Access requires an authenticated management session and an enabled VPN server; Internet reachability also requires remote web management.
