Database information disclosure via inventory ID SQL injection
Published Oct 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in the Online Pet Shop application 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to infer database information through a crafted inventory id. The inventory-management handler incorporates the id parameter into an SQL query without neutralizing quote, operator, and comment syntax. An administrative session is required; the published proof of concept uses a crafted GET request and a boolean response oracle to determine the database-name length.
