Browser script execution via unsanitized textarea input
Published Oct 11, 2022 · Updated May 20, 2025
Reflected XSS in Metro UI 4.4.0 through 4.5.1 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via crafted input. The textarea component renders user-controlled input without proper sanitization, allowing injected JavaScript to enter the generated page. Exploitation requires a user to render the crafted content; resulting script execution can read or modify data available to that browser context.
