CVE-2022-4137Network attack vector

Reflected XSS via null-byte URI injection

Published Sep 25, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Reflected XSS in the out-of-band OAuth endpoint in Red Hat Single Sign-On allows remote attackers to inject a URI into an error page. Incorrect null-byte handling lets a crafted OAuth request place an arbitrary URI into the rendered error page without proper neutralization. Exploitation requires a user or administrator to follow a malicious link, exposing browser-accessible user details to collection or change.
