Stored script execution via unsanitized category names
Published Oct 20, 2022 · Updated May 8, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Garage Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through a category name. The createCategories.php endpoint trusts client-side validation and stores the categoriesName value without equivalent server-side neutralization. A low-privileged user can submit a modified authenticated request, and the stored payload runs when another user views the category data.
