CVE-2022-41335Network attack vector

Authenticated file read and write via path traversal

Published Feb 16, 2023 · Updated Oct 23, 2024

Path traversal in Fortinet FortiOS, FortiProxy, and FortiSwitch Manager allows remote authenticated users to read or write Linux files. The administrative HTTP interface accepts crafted relative paths for filesystem access, but Fortinet has not disclosed the affected handler or validation failure. Administrative credentials and network access to that interface are required; successful requests can disclose or alter files on the underlying system.

Exploitability

Present is not the same as exploitable

Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Is a vulnerable build present?

Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
