Stored script execution via unescaped contact field
Published Feb 7, 2023 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Moxa SDS-3008 Series firmware 2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in users' browsers. The Switch Information page inserts the stored switch_contact value into a quoted SCRIPT-block assignment without neutralizing quote-breaking input. A privileged management user must save the payload, which then executes for other users who load the affected page and can expose session data or falsify its content.
