Unauthorized actions via forged trusted-user requests
Published Dec 1, 2022 · Updated Apr 24, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in IBM Db2U 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5 allows remote attackers to submit unauthorized actions through a trusted user's browser. IBM has not disclosed the affected request handler or the request-authenticity check that permits forged requests. Exploitation requires a trusted user to interact with attacker-controlled content while authenticated, and resulting requests can modify application state with that user's authority.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
