System takeover via unrestricted RFC method invocation
Published Dec 13, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025
Code injection in SAP BASIS 731, 740, 750 through 757, and 789 through 791 allows remote authenticated users to gain control via RFC calls. The module's unrestricted scope lets a non-administrator reach a system class and invoke any public method with attacker-supplied parameters. An authenticated non-administrator account is required, and successful exploitation grants control of the system that owns the class.
