CVE-2022-41259Network attack vector

Authenticated database crash via ARRAY constructor queries

Published Nov 8, 2022 · Updated May 2, 2025

Denial of service in SAP SQL Anywhere Server 17.0 allows remote authenticated users to crash the database server with ARRAY queries. SAP identifies improper SQL neutralization and states that some queries using an ARRAY constructor terminate the server, but no public source names the faulty routine. A valid database account and network access are required, and successful exploitation interrupts database access for legitimate users.
