CVE-2022-41226Network attack vector

Controller secret disclosure and SSRF via XXE

Published Sep 21, 2022 · Updated May 28, 2025

XXE in BMC AMI Common Configuration Plugin 1.0.14 and earlier allows attackers to disclose controller secrets or trigger SSRF. The CLIVersionUtils.parseXml method parses a Workbench CLI version file with a DocumentBuilderFactory that permits document types and external general entities. Exploitation requires control of the Topaz Workbench CLI home directory on a Jenkins agent; a crafted file can extract controller secrets or make controller-side requests.
