CVE-2022-41191

Code execution via malformed JT file parsing

Published Oct 11, 2022 · Updated May 20, 2025

Memory corruption in SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer 9 allows attackers to execute code when a crafted JT file is opened. JTReader.x3d can overflow a stack buffer or reuse a dangling pointer into overwritten memory while parsing untrusted JT data. Exploitation requires a user to open the file, after which attacker-controlled code runs in that user's context.
