Admin-level stored XSS via unsanitized email setting
Published Jan 2, 2023 · Updated Apr 10, 2025
Stored XSS in the Sirv WordPress plugin before 6.8.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through an account email setting. The sirv_setup_credentials AJAX action accepts an email value containing markup and stores it without sanitization or output escaping before the account page renders it. An administrator-level session and a Sirv account are required, and viewing the account page triggers script execution in that administrator's browser.
