Code execution via DWG parser use-after-free
Published Oct 11, 2022 · Updated May 20, 2025
Use-after-free in SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer 9 allows remote attackers to execute code when a user opens a crafted DWG file. The TeighaTranslator.exe DWG parser operates on an object without first validating that it still exists, allowing reuse of freed memory. Exploitation requires the target to open an untrusted file or visit a malicious page and runs code in the current process context.
